For this piece, I’d rather let the imagery speak for itself than explain what every little bit represents; but I’ve also created a playlist to accompany it that helps tell the story a little bit more through the sounds of songs and artists from whom I draw heavy inspiration (be sure to listen in order).
This self-portrait and playlist is the most personal and revealing project that I’ve arranged and released to the world yet. While it may not speak to most of you, the vulnerability and release is immensely important to me. It takes the place of a video project that I started working on exactly one year ago (5/29/2020) and had to recently scrap due to unforeseen events.
If it wasn’t evident, the imagery was entirely inspired by Maggie Rogers’ album cover captured by Olivia Bee - particularly shaped by the song ‘One More Afternoon’.
