About me.

I’m not sure who let me grow my hair out that long, but this picture is probably one of the happiest documented moments of my filmmaking career (yet). Me, on set, directing Logic’s “44 EVER” music video alongside a cast and crew of some of my closest friends and biggest inspirations. That’s what it’s all about, and what I’ll continue cultivating for the rest of my life.

I’m a Filmmaker and Director from a small town in the mountains just outside of Los Angeles, California and the founder of Somnium Visions (a production company mostly there so the suits perceive me as legitimate and as way for me to pay my friends on bigger productions without taking a big tax hit).

“His (JT’s) work portrays a grounded, yet dreamlike, perspective of the world. Delicate introspections on the relationships between nature and the worlds we build around and on top of it.”

- what a publication would write about me if I were poppin’ more. give it a few years.

I’ve spent my entire career up until this point honing my vision primarily within the world of music. Music videos and documentaries - directed, written, shot, produced, and edited - you name it. I have every part of the process under my belt, depending on the scale (i.e., money/time).

Here are some name drops for those who want to equate my talent and skills with the people I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with:

Logic, Maggie Rogers, KYLE, Freddie Dredd, Wiz Khalifa, Dan Mace, Amazon Prime, Def Jam Recordings, Universal Music Group, Coca-Cola…

“WOW! I thought his stuff was alright before, but you didn't tell me people with CLOUT respect him too!?”

- shareholders and management at some corporation, probably.

At this point, I’ve been grateful enough to achieve milestones, create art, and collaborate at levels I once had literal dreams about. These industries have revealed to me some of the most rewarding experiences contrasted by the most reflective disappointments - all catalysts for unimaginable growth and stories I’ll tell for the rest of my life.

All I can hope to do is tell the truth of the current moment. Make the things you like with the people you love. Own your story.

Let’s run it,

JT
